The ParalympicsGB team which competed at London 2012 was very successful, bringing home 120 medals in total and finishing third on the medal table. Importantly for a home Games, the team had an ambition that reached beyond the field of play: to shift the way that people think, feel and behave towards disability. Research conducted with the public after London 2012 demonstrated that a shift in perceptions had been achieved.
